Dr. Lloyd Colegrove | The Dow Chemical Company 

​

Lloyd F. Colegrove, PhD, is the Director of Data Services and the Director of Fundamental Problem Solving in the Analytical Technology Center at the Dow Chemical Company. He began his Dow career in R&D in polymer science and quickly moved to improvement of analytical methodology in plant labs. While in a role as business quality leader for four business units, he embarked on his big data journey in manufacturing before the term big data came into use. He established the first applied statistics group in Dow manufacturing and developed the vision that is taking the company from merely collecting data to actively using data. Colegrove has more than 29 years of experience in chemical research and manufacturing. He holds a BS in chemistry and a PhD in chemical physics from Texas A&M Univ. View LinkedIn Profile

Michael Guilfoyle | ARC Advisory Group

Over two decades, Mr. Guilfoyle has assisted organizations, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, in identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities presented by the modernization of the energy, technology, and telecommunications industries. Michael's expertise is in analysis, positioning, and strategy development for companies facing transformational market drivers.  At ARC, he applies his expertise to developments related to Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), advanced analytics and machine learning, cloud computing, digitalization, and industry best practices. Jonathan Alexander | Albemarle Corporation

 

Mr. Alexander is an Operations Engineer for Albemarle’s Aluminum Alkyl plant in Pasadena, TX. He has made improving process quality and optimizing the production process his main goal by utilizing statistical process control and other analytical tools.  Through the implementation of the NWA software packages, quality within Albemarle has been taken to a new level by reducing out of spec material, improving yields, and driving increases in the operators’ process knowledge and understanding.   Providing the operators with unique process analytical tools and training has exponentially increased their ability to troubleshoot and solve routine process problems.  The process of transforming the operators into engineers has exponentially increased Albemarle’s ability to implement improvements not only during day shifts, but also during nights and weekends. View LinkedIn Profile

Erik Jan van den Heuvel | The Dow Chemical Company

 

Mr. Jan van den Heuvel has 29 years of experience in process analytical (online), general analytical science (from bench to online) and fundamental problem solving (problem solving in manufacturing). He is the Global IT Leader for Data Services, Process Analytical and Analytical Operations in the Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence at The Dow Chemical Company. Erik Jan has been leading global diverse technical teams using advanced scientific tools and methods while applying fundamental scientific approaches to target and solve complex, high-value plant problems and develops advanced systems to optimize plant operating disciplines. His current roles also link him to the Industry 4.0 initiative in Dow as one of the focal points for the Analytics platform and as the Industry 4.0 contact for the Terneuzen site, one of the largest Dow production sites located in the South West of the Netherlands. View LinkedIn Profile

Erik Jan van den Heuvel

Rory Masureik | Consultant, Manufacturing Excellence

 

Mr. Masureik has been driving manufacturing operations and improvement programs for more than 25 years, fulfilling senior multi-national roles in the chemicals, food and automotive sectors. He has acted as a board-level advisor in internal consultant roles and has led or sponsored a number of MES/MOM projects globally, most recently within Johnson Matthey PLC. Mr. Masureik holds a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering, was trained in Lean Manufacturing on a scholarship in Japan, and personally by Eli Goldratt in the Theory Of Constraints. He is active on a number of MESA working groups related to Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation, and serves on the Industrial Advisory Board of the Wolfson MEME at Loughborough University.
